Project K.I.N.D. participated in the 3rd Annual Health and Resource Fair in August 2019. Many organizations came together and worked hard to make sure families received all the well needed information and support available to them. Project K.I.N.D. was honored to be part of this very valuable event and connect with over 2,000 families. Each student received a dental bundle containing a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and mouthwash all compliments of Project K.I.N.D.
A Special thanks to Assembly Member Jose Medina, Kaiser Permanente of Riverside/Moreno Valley, and Sandals Church. Their contribution made it possible for 687 students to receive backpacks and school supplies distributed onsite.
Empire Barber Shop provided specialty haircuts to 59 students and Nike shoes not only volunteered their time but also donated 264 pairs of shoes.
All the participating agencies came with a heart to service the many children and families of Moreno Valley Unified School District.
Thank you, Mrs. Connie Edwards, for working tirelessly to bring this vision to life and for always thinking of the families first. Your efforts inspire us all.
